Sending mono-religious standard bearers to rule multi-religious nation shows APC is deaf and dumb, says Mbazulike Amechi – The Sun Nigeria

First Republic Aviation Minister Chief Mbazulike Amechi has accused the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) of being insensitive to the plight of Nigerians in choosing their candidates for the presidency for the 2023 elections.
The eldest statesman said that since 1999 both political parties had plunged Nigeria into what he described as a stinking catacomb of corruption, plunder and religious and tribal fanaticism.
He blamed the APC and the PDP for misselecting their presidential candidates and running mates due to their inability, he said, to feel the pulse of the Nigerian masses.
Speaking to reporters at his home in Ukpor in Anambra State of Nnewi South Local Government Area, Chief Amechi said the PDP had played a smart game but remained half smart in selecting its standard bearers, while APC introduced what it called an expired drug to cure a patient who is nearing a point of coma.
“PDP acted without wisdom or foresight and rejected the principle of fairness and balance in selecting a candidate from the North who may be capable, but it is not his tern, and in selecting a running mate he demonstrated half intelligence APC blundered by throwing a bullet casing and expired medicine to treat a near-comatose patient.
“APC has turned a deaf ear to the cry of the nation. The party has suicidally sent mono-religious standard bearers to rule a multi-religious nation. INEC and the Supreme Court should not repeat what they did last time,” he said.
He described the Labor Party (LP) as a third force, rising up, saying it seemed God now wanted to act openly and save his people. He noted that the emergence of Mr. Peter Obi and Datti Baba Ahmed was a God-given opportunity for the long-suffering Nigerian people to save and take back their country which he said had been economically and politically violated for many years. years.
Chief Amechi’s statement read: “Last week my special assistant, Sir Mortimor Mojekwu, brought to my attention that a particular press man wanted an interview to ask me for my views on the developments and the situation in the country. I told them that I had just recovered after nine days of hospitalization, but that I would meet the press next week.
“I don’t know what questions you can ask, but for me the two most powerful and current issues in the country are the upcoming presidential election and the growing insecurity in the country.
“In the next presidential election, I am no longer a politician but I cannot remain silent when I see the country I gave all my youth and blood to co-found being pushed into an irreparable abyss of disintegration and destruction. anarchy.
“Since the entry into force of the Constitution imposed by the army in 1999, two major political parties have ruled the country. These are PDP and APC. In their preparation for the 2023 presidential election, both parties have blundered in their selection of their presidential candidates and running mates. Since they ruled the country in 1999, the nation has sunk into a stinking catacomb of corruption, plunder and religious and tribal bigotry.
“The PDP, acting without wisdom or foresight, has rejected the principle of fairness and balance in selecting a candidate from the North who may be capable but it is not his turn and in selecting a running mate has shown intelligence half.
“On behalf of APC, they blundered by projecting the shell of a spent bullet and an expired drug to cure a patient in the nation who is close to a coma. Turning a deaf ear to the cry of the nation, they have suicidally deployed mono-religious standard-bearers to govern a multi-religious nation.I hope the CENI or the Supreme Court will not do what they did last time.
“A third force is arising and it seems that God now wants to act openly and save his people. It would seem that the emergence through the Labor Party of Peter Obi and Datti Baba Ahmed ticket is a God given opportunity for the long-suffering Nigerian people to save and reclaim their country which has been economically and politically violated for many years. .
“I will advise the long-suffering people of this country, the young, the women, the underpaid workers, whatever their religion, tribe, region or party, to reclaim your country from the insatiable looters and fanatics and to hand it over to Peter and Ahmed to lay the foundations for a new nation, a clean nation, a happy and united nation that will give satisfaction and pride to its citizens and earn the respect of other great nations of the world.
