The party office issued a letter on behalf of Nath on Sunday, ordering party leaders and workers to hold religious programs on April 10 and 16 to celebrate the occasion of Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti respectively.

Reacting to the Congress decision, leaders of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) called it “hypocrisy”.
